About 2 months ago, I got a message from Alex, somebody I had never met, which basically said: "I'm quitting my job and was wondering if you need anyone to help you out with vehicle support across the Nullarbor?" Obviously I really had to think about this carefully... for about 2 seconds! OF COURSE it would make my life so much easier if I had somebody helping out across the Nullarbor, but taking over two months to cross over 1,200km of the most boring road in Australia? That's something I would never dream of asking someone to do for me.... Luckily I didn't have to ask as Alex just volunteered!

Driving down from Canberra a few days ago with a brand-new D-Max and a trailer full of hay, Alex will be driving excruciatingly small distances everyday and making sure the boys and I have all the food and water we could possibly need. Which also means the ponies no longer have to carry much gear, only me! Huge thanks to Alex - without her, this section would be so much more logistical 💗🙏
